OUTBREAK: ZERO is a semi post-apocalyptic pandemic roleplay set in the fictional city of Lethford, USA. Current season: Winter, 20/21.
March 2020. The world is in pandemonium as one month ago, GHNv-20 was confirmed, five months after the beginning of norovirus season. The number of the infected are in the higher hundred thousands, and the death toll is at an estimated 250,000, with about seventy percent of the rest of the population experiencing mild to moderate illnesses connected to the S. pyogenes bacteria.
The fear of the unknown has caused mass hysteria and panic.
In an attempt to provide a semblance of safety and control, military personnel patrol the streets, even here in Lethford City, and the police force is trying to keep up with the rising street violence, assault, and theft.

Do you have a hard time threading with new characters? Not sure who can connect with who? Want to make your character uncomfortable with an interaction? How about testing out how they work in times of a pandemic? Well then, welcome to Blind Thread! Sometimes we all have a hard time trying to figure out what to do with our new or old characters. Sometimes we are unsure of how they’d be with others outside of their well thought out plots. Or maybe, we just need to spice up their lives in character. This is the perfect way to test that. Or just for some good laughs. Come find out what lies ahead in this fun IC game put together by the staff of OUTBREAK: Zero.

Members will be able to apply with their desired characters by replying to this thread. To make things fair members will assign each of their characters a number of their choice. This number can range from 1-12. Once a number is taken, it cannot be chosen for a second time. So please make sure to use a different number.
Members may apply with more than one character. Just try to keep your own limits in mind.
If the number of characters is not even staff will fill in the empty position.
After 3 days staff will close applications, then roll a die to pair up random characters with a maximum of 2 for each thread.
Once the pairings have been found members will be given a writing prompt for their thread (please refer to the example below for further information).
Player A will be given a time limit of 48 hours to create the thread, and if by any chance player A is unable to do it, the task will be handed over to player B who will then change to player A for the writing prompt.
If you and your thread partner happen to get stuck you may request another writing prompt.

RULES
Please list the characters you would like to keep (by using the code provided below) and the characters you would like to drop. Please also add any WIP characters who have accounts already.
We require 1 IC post per character. Only posts dating from December 1st to January 13th will count.
! Characters accepted between December 20th - 31st will be exempt from the 1 IC post rule but are still required to reply to this thread !
Accounts deemed inactive in this AC will be kept until further notice or the next AC rolls around.
All inactive accounts prior to this AC will be deleted. If there is an inactive account you would like to keep please message a staff member to let them know.
The activity check will start January 1st and will end January 13th, 01:00 AM EST. If you fail to reply or don't have 1 IC post up we will deem your account inactive. We will give you a 7 days grace period to message a staff member before we remove you from our discord. You are more than welcome to return!
Should you get marked inactive don't hesitate to message a member of staff with a link to your thread/IC post and we will move you back to your regular group.
