Pandemic Love is an experimental short term RPG based off of the Love is Blind Netflix show. (You do NOT need to have seen the show in order to participate!)
The premise is that a group of men and women looking for love will gather together and try to answer the question "is love really blind?". To do this they will turn the idea of modern app dating where the only thing that matters is appearance and flip it on it's head. They'll go on blind dates where they cannot see the other person and where personality is truly the only that matters.This is a totally new kind of RPG experience!
What makes us different?- The site is expected to last approximately 3 months or so and is not meant to remain around long term.
- Identity's will be kept hidden both in-character and out-of-character until each is revealed at some point in the game.
- Writing will be different! We're used to explaining everything our character is thinking and feeling, this allows others to read what in our character's head and act accordingly. What if we didn't reveal their inner dialogue?
- We also tend to leaning on what our characters look like and what they are physically trying to do in order to win over a love interest. For at least the first stage of the game we'll be hiding face claims and will restrict physical descriptors to truly dive deep into the personality of our characters!
Things to know:- Due to the nature of the site, the game will start on Monday, April 13th, at 1:00 PM EST. Characters should be created by then and after the start date no one will be allowed to join after that point.
- Due to logistics, we'll only be accepting heterosexual or bisexual characters looking for love in the opposite sex.
- Again, this is experimental and short term! It'll be a fun little side project for people for a few months!
- Activity level expected: You should be able to post on average at least 4 times a week, or else risk being left behind and not making connects. We don't expect you to drop your whole life in order to write but activity will likely determine rate of success.
