PERSONALITY
Confident, spoiled, and educated. Tyler is confident in her skills that she has learned over the years and has the ability to hold intelligent conversations. She keeps up to date on current events and had private tutors growing up her whole life. She is by no means a genius but has enough basic knowledge to be able to hold her on in a conversation, or at least knows how to fake her way through it until she can change the subject. Charming might be another good word for her, as she knows how to smile and win over different people she comes across, mainly learned through the plenty of benefits that her family has thrown over the years of her growing up.
Spoiled because she comes from a family who has never had to even think when swiping a card or anything of the sorts. Not only do they come from old money thanks to her great grandfather creating the business that he did, but her family has smart financial advisors and continues to pursue having the best clientele around. So Tyler grew up getting what she wanted, even if it took her a few pouts and "but daddy" arguments. Thankfully as she got older, and a bit more independent, she did seek out to continue her education and move away from the company. But she works on the side for her father as a translator when he has important CEO business, and she isn't busy with the local government job she holds.

BIOGRAPHY
Tyler grew up with an older sister and twin little brothers. All of the siblings were only about a year to two years apart. Their mother wanted the kids done quickly so she could have her body put back together after the pregnancies. Or at least that's what she told them. Having a silver spoon in her mouth, that would be a definite. The kids grew up pretty spoiled, if it kept it out of their mothers hair and from complaining so loud that her fathers business calls were interrupted, they got it. Looking back on it now, she could have grown up to have been much worse than how she turned out thanks to her own doing.
Her turn around really hit when she decided to go to college. She wound up majoring in communications, mainly due to the fact that she was already really good at speaking to many people. Growing up, there were lots of parties and benefits and really anything that could be thrown was thrown to show off how great the family way. Tyler was taught several languages growing up and really took to them, it being part of the reason her father really took much interest in her. She was able to translate for him between different people he was trying to make business deals with, and the fact that she was family made it seem so much more personal apparently. So it gave them a leg up in a way.
In college, she moved out, and even though she was still armed with the Halen family money, it was different for her. She got to make her own decisions on where she lived, who she spent her time around, and what she did with her spare time. By graduation, she was fluent in seven languages (American sign language, Spanish, Mandarin, French, German, Japanese, and Russian). She spoke Spanish and Mandarin before the end of high school and started learning ASL, but the rest were during her time at college. Lots of hours pouring over the languages and whenever she ran into someone who spoke a second or third language, she always asked them to not speak in English. It was fantastic practice for her.
She got a job at the local bookstore during college and did some ASL for book readings as well as regular restocking/check out duties that her father told her would look good on a resume. Sure, he was right in a way, had to have something on her resume and not just rely on the family name. Which is why she found something simple enough that she couldn't mess it up, and she had unlimited resources to read up on her studies during the slow times, which was frequent. Ty enjoyed the quiet as well, very different that being at home where everyone was constantly in and out and her brothers were constantly surrounding the house with their friends and such. Even the library at the school wasn't really quiet either.
Out of college, her name definitely pulled attention when she applied for the government job. Though she was glad that she actually could back up the fact that she knew what she was doing. Besides her father pulling her as a side 'help the family out' kind of thing, she was a bit unsure of her job at first. It was more of a part time gig, only when they actually needed her to translate during press conferences or any one on one meetings perhaps. But never a consistent thing. Sometimes an on call thing, sometimes with more a heads up. She also has been called over to the police department once or twice to help, considering it was a type of government. She volunteers at the local library in her spare time, specifically helping out in the kids area. She wasn't a huge fan of the idea of having her own but she liked watching their happy little faces run around and find books on things they love.
Though spoiled, she does have a heart under everything. Though she has lived quite a sheltered life compared to many others, not having to deal with the ugliness that is really out in the world. Her life has gotten a bit busier now that everyone is trying to figure out what was best to do for the city and surrounding areas, but her father is also trying to do damage control for his business. And if she wants to keep on his payroll, she needs to be available for him as well.
