The balance that survived in Cloche, Louisiana for centuries began to unravel a few years ago when a group of hedgewitches created a potent drug dubbed Z-dust. A powerful narcotic intended for recreational consumption, it just so happened to have an unexpected side effect: it renders rougarou temporarily human. With this powerful tool falling into the hands of hunters, rougarou began dying in greater numbers, all while the Puritan witches that governed Cloche for generations kept their hands clean, staying out of it. Recently the hunters grew bold enough to launch a full-scale assault on the rougarou pack's home territory. In response, a few radical rougarou took retribution into their own hands, dispensing brutal and violent justice on the witches they believed were ultimately responsible. It was the only spark needed to light Cloche ablaze with the raging flames of war. All under the noses of the unsuspecting humans living alongside them. The battle lines are being drawn in this seemingly sleepy, moss-draped town. When the smoke clears, who will still stand?
